SERVICES
I practice using a holistic, patient-centered approach. All visits include a thorough functional assessment in order to generate a clear diagnosis. It is important to me that we figure out the root of the problem, not just where the pain is. Having the right diagnosis allows us to execute an effective treatment plan. All treatments include hands-on manual therapy and are always one-on-one.
Postural Assessment
Assessing the natural position of our body tells me a lot about the habitual movement patterns of the individual. This gives me vital information regarding the biomechanical imbalances that are the root of the problem.
Active Release Technique (ART) ®
ART® is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Small traumas and/or overused muscles can create a build-up of scar tissue. This can cause muscles to become shorter and weaker, tension on tendons can cause tendonitis and nerves can become trapped. This can cause reduced range of motion, loss of strength, and pain. If a nerve is trapped you may also feel tingling, numbness, and weakness. ART is a hands on technique that treats the abnormal tissues to remove scar tissue using tension to the specific muscle combined with precise patient movements.
Chiropractic Adjustments & Joint mobilizations
Loss of range of motion or restriction of movement may be caused by poor joint mechanics. Hands on or instrument assisted (*Activator) gentle manipulation or mobilization of the joint can help restore normal, pain-free motion.
Kinesiotaping
The Kinesio Taping® Method is a rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process. It provides support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion, providing extended soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting. Latex-free and wearable for days at a time, Kinesio® Tape is safe for populations ranging from pediatric to geriatric, and successfully treats a variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, neurological and other medical conditions.
Exercise Prescription
Exercise is a key component in the healing process. Retraining the body to follow correct movement patterns helps to maintain the effects of the treatments and help your body recalibrate for optimal performance.
CONDITIONS TREATED
I treat a variety of of conditions that often occur in combination with each other. Some include
Tendinitis/tendinosis
Foot pain/poor mechanics
Neurological pain
Carpal tunnel
Running injuries
Lower and mid back pain
Neck pain
Headaches
Concussion
Whiplash
Iliotibial band syndrome
Rotator cuff injuries
Poor posture
And many more!
WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR FIRST VISIT

Physical Examination
This includes a focused examination of your current complaint, as well as a holistic view of your entire body.
Diagnosis
I will provide a specific diagnosis and prescribe the most effective treatment to reach your goals. This might include the consultation of other physicians.
Treatment
If appropriate, I will provide treatment on the first visit. Treatment could include any of the following: myofascial release, adjustments, mobilizations, assisted stretching, kinesiotaping, postural, stretching and exercise education and prescription.
Treatment Plan
I will provide you with a personalized report that includes what forms of treatment are recommended, prognosis, how long it will take to heal, and of course homework! (aka what you need to do to help yourself).
